i'm interested in everything and nothing. going out and hanging w/ friends, places where you can chill, mellow and conversate. and when the time is right, i love gettin' crazy. nekkid works, too.
i'd like to meet the same kind of people that everyone else wants to meet: nice, chill, happy, sad, loud, quiet, crazy, real, imaginary, drunk, sober, sincere, and inflatable plastic people who like to race ferrets in their clothes while dancing a traditional irish jig and humming with passion the mexican national anthem as it plays on 91X at midnight on sundays... because that's how i roll.
my tastes runs thru almost all genres, from classical to metal to classic metal to rap/r&b. random examples - the beatles, run/dmc, infectious grooves, rage against the machine, van halen, all the marley's, asia, rob zombie, jack johnson, steel pulse, stevie ray vaugh, inxs, marvin gaye, johnny cash, the upstarts (my bro's dante and odz)!!, the pixies, chili peppers, helmet, snoop, michael buble, earth baby, ozzy, man's red flower, dr dre, primus, earth wind and fire, nwa, harry connick jr, fuzzbox, led zeppelin, ad nauseum. * * * * * * but truly, reggae's been floating my soul these past 2 years (thanks jorge for all the mix cd's). warrior kings, beres hammond, gentlemen, wayne wonder, i wayne, buju banton, and more...
i love a good movie. i'm very particular though. i can't stand a bad production or weak story line. originality and the above values wins me every time. i go fishing often enough for foreign flicks but don't always find ones i like. but i keep trying. i love finding those movies that strike a chord and resonate. can't do low-brow unless it's a ridiculously stupid comedy like beerfest or miami vice.
i don't watch any program religiously. if the tv's on, i usually end up watching the history channel, comedy channel, cartoon network, the discovery channel, and the like. but i despise the reality shows - that lowest common denominator shit (further) erodes my faith in humanity.
the myth of sisyphus, by albert camus. * * * * wicked, by gregory maguire. * * * * cien anos de soledad, by gabriel garcia marquez. * * * * * can't think of more right now.
sisyphus. and those like him.
