DJ Toma has been controlling the party lately, and these last couple years has proved that he is a nonstop force to be reckoned with in the dance circuit. Toma first turned up on the scene back in 1994 in Hawaii playing innovative and diverse genres music while exposing Hawaii’s youth to the new sounds of everything from hip hop to house, old school to freestyle, reggae to alternative. ‘When I began djing, I found a channel to share music with the masses which was my lifetime passion of mine.’ With lots of practice and a job offer in Las Vegas, its was off to the city of Entertainment where Toma felt right at home, landing residencies at the Beach from 1997 to 2002, Bikinis in 2003, Tangerine and Pure in 2004-05, Tryst in 2006 and now has joined the Nine Group to rock the house at the world famous Playboy Club, Moon Nightclub, Rain Mega-Club and Ghostbar Ultra-Lounge.From his humble beginnings of shaking roofs off of grass huts on a little rock in the middle of the Pacific called Hawaii, to being one of Vegas’s most requested DJs, Dj Toma has truly brought something refreshing to the City of Entertainment. ‘playing for the masses and love of music, not the politics…’ has been the model of this Hawaiian kid. I guess that what makes him a success; constantly giving.
