Music has been the main interest in my life for a LONGGGGGGG time. I have had the privilege of meeting some fantastic artists in my life to date. The first of which was Rick Price, Australia's own singer/songwriter who is too talented for words. I have had the joy of watching Rick perform in a number of different settings - with Tommy Emmanuel, with Jack Jones, and on his own acoustically (which is mindblowing).
Over the years my tastes in music have expanded to include pop opera. I was converted to this type of music when I heard Amici Forever perform one of my most favourite songs "Unchained Melody" in Italian. Been a huge fan of theirs ever since and have had the honour of meeting them several times, even travelling to New York to see them in concert and catching up with them in a New York hotel when the shows were cancelled.
Another voice which 'blows my world' is that of Josh Groban. When I first heard him sing I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest and I didn't even understand what he was singing about (it was in Italian). This young man is a bright shining star and we have been told that he won't even reach his full potential until he's in his 30's. At the moment he is only 26. I had the prviliege of meeting Josh at a concert with John Williamson and the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Tanglewood N.Y. when he was performing as a guest soloist.(Compliments of my Grobie Angel friend Ginger)}.mygen { Text Properties }
