About Me

BIOA fan of the Beatles since I was 5 years old. My parents thought drums would be too loud an instrument for me to start on in 4th grade, so I wound up playing the (quiet?) trumpet in the school band. I found the trumpet to be somewhat frustrating and I hadn't heard of Miles Davis yet, so I quit the trumpet and starting playing the guitar when I was 14. I started multi-track recording songs that I made up (when I was 14), by using two cassette players. I discovered that by recording guitar on the first one then playing back what I had recorded while I played along with that track and recording it on the second cassette player I could create a new track with 2 guitars, and so on. The quality wasn't the greatest but it was fun to hear the finished tracks. Only years later did I hear the recording term "bouncing". Over the years I've gotten more sophisticated in the recording process and have learned to play more instruments as well, though I gave up the trumpet entirely. Growing up in New Jersey I played in many bands. I've since moved to Los Angeles where I've learned professional record production at a very fine Santa Monica Recording Studio, and having engineered for many known and unknown artists; I no longer need those two cassette players. My latest endeavor has been to do my first solo record, which oddly enough was recorded in a friends "home" studio. I wrote all the songs on this record, 12 songs total. I also cover Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street", which is an acoustic version with some nice strings added. I hope you enjoy. Also available here on myspace (for download only) is a song called "Save The World" that was only supposed to be a demo, but was used in the sountrack of a film called "Lloyd". The film only used the song for it's foreign release, here in the US most of the original soundtrack was replaced with, how should I say it?, more well known popular artists. I hope you enjoy my offering of music!
What's next? Stay tuned! Cheers!
