TAMIR, actress, has performed "The Way of the Heart" at the United Nations, One spirit, Sufi Symmposium in Edinburgh, Scoland, Sufi Books, Ny Open Center and the NY NewLife Expo, and the Unitarian church in SF. A graduate of Rubin Acadmey of Music and Dance in Jersusalem, Israel and later a student of Martha Graham, Wynn Handman and A.C.T, she created "In the Land of Israel" a one-woman show based on the book by Amos Oz and "Poetry on Prayer" a CD - an interfaith celebration of prayer from around the world. Favorite roles are Maria Callas in Master Class, Medea, Bernarda Alba and Leah in the Dybbuk.
The ecstatic poetry and colorful teaching stories of Rumi have a profound significance in TAMIR's life as an artisitc expression of universal love and tolerance.
