Day One Music Group-Was formed in April 2006 by a former music manager and a up and coming music attorney. This label is based out of the mid-west and southern regions of the US and has offices in Indianapolis, IN, Dallas, TX and New York, NY. Day One specializes in breaking new talent and bringing experienced talent back to life. Day One focuses primarily in the genres of Rap/Hip-Hop/Rock/ and R&B music. Day One's co-founder and President, James Turner, from Indianapolis, IN, began his career in the music industry as a street promoter and later worked his way up and became one of the industry's most sought after music managers. Twisted Black was the first major recording artist Mr. Turner helped develop and eventually sign to TVT Records.Other members of Day One Music Group include Juan Bragg, Head of Promotions, Adrian Dunville, Promotions and Marketing and James Sheppard (Head of National Retail). Day One's legal cousel and head of business affairs is Scott H. Mason, Esq. located in New York, NY.Day One works closely with many music marketing and promotion company's such as the following: Southern Fried Marketing, J Jones Entertainment and Turner Marketing, Inc.Day One's first release will be Khujo Goodie of the Goodie Mobb. Khujo Goodie is tentatively scheduled for release on July 17th 2007. Khujo's first single will be "Like Dis" featuring Sean Paul of the Youngbloodz and Trae of G. Maab Records/Rap-A-Lot Records which is already creating a strong buzz in Khujo's home town of Atlanta, GA. Other Day One forthcoming releases include: Big Chief, Twisted Black Documentary (Life of Tommy Burns DVD) and many others.Big Chief the second scheduled artist for release on Day One and is from Dallas, TX. Big Chief has sold over 5,000 records on each independent release since the year 2000. Currently Big Chief is one of the hottest and most talked about artists in the south and midwest.Twisted Black is currently serving a 30 year consecutive sentence.
