My Name is Craig Jones I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I am a Certified Culinary Chef and I own my own business called Jones'en Barbecue Sauce.....How I Got Started....I began to develop my love for food at the age five, that love eventually turned into the love for cooking and the start of my career as a Cook and Food Enthusiast.
I’ve always loved food and when I was younger I use to watch my Father, Great Grandmother and both Grandmothers cook, and I guess you can say they were my inspiration.
I'd watch my dad make spaghetti which was my favorite at the time and I would tell him “ Hey Dad You should Put more garlic in that†and until this day garlic is one of my favorite flavors.
I was always a very experimental kid In fact one time I put garlic in my Ice tea because I liked it so much , turns out that wasn’t a good combination However as a result, Today I am a very creative person.
I would watch my Great Grandmother & Grandmother make Smothered Pork Chops and Corn Bread and my favorite Crab Gumbo. I grew up eating a very diverse menu of great food, on my dads side of the family I had all the great southern favorites and on my mom side I would watch my grandmother make "Pigs In the Blanket" and the best baked bread around so my love for cooking defiantly centers around my family and their great foods.My career as a chef started when I decided to go to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I started my journey to becoming what I am today. I was tested on my ability to cook great food and present it in a professional way while developing my own style along the way. I learned a little of everything and a wide range of cooking styles and ingredients to develop my cuisine, which is the fusion of international influences with a bite of the South.
I am currently writing a cook book that show cases the best recipes in my cuisine which will be out in 2009.I AM ALSO SELLING MY OWN BARBECUE SAUCE called "Craig's Jones'en Expresso Barbecue" and it is a delicious coffee infused barbecue that will have you coming back for more and more.
My Sauce is now located in selected grocery stores throughout Johnstown Pennsylvania.
