Hello there,As you've probably worked out by now my name is Dick Massey. I'm probably best known for my role as "Billy 'The Animal' Mooney" in the movie The Commitments. I was only a young fella when we made that movie but man, did we have a blast. As I said, I played the part of Billy, the first drummer. If you haven't already seen The Commitments go get it and put yourself in good humour. It's a story of a young band from Dublin and they play American Black Soul music from the sixties. The band form, they start rehearsing and pretty soon they get their shit together and are starting to sound really tight. They start to play a few shows around Dublin and then.....Well, I won't ruin it for you. Go rent the DVD!!!I presently live in Dublin, Ireland but spend most of my time touring the world with The Commitments. Yes the band IS still going with some of the original cast members still there.
