Vanias Apergis

Born in Athens, Greece started abusing my mothers kitchenware from a very young age, something that continued with my cousins piano till my parents got me my first keyboard in my early teen years. Went on and studied keyboards and jazz piano for 8 years while I began to compose and participate in bands. Left Greece and got my BMus in Film scoring from Berklee College of Music and my Masters in Creative Music Technology from Newcastle (upon Tyne) University. I have been working in a major studio in Athens, Greece for the past 5 years as an assistant producer and engineer collaborating with the local top artists. Parallel to the studio work I’ve been composing music for plays TV and commercials. One of the plays I’ve written music for is staging soon in New York at La Mama. As of lately I’ve started wandering on my own to find a path in music that best suits my dreams and needs. Currently I am producing a trilingual hip-hop project and some young, local rock bands. There will be a lot of music airing very soon so keep coming back.
