Exventer was formed in February 1999 in Beryozovsky (town in Kemerovo region). Originally the group had the name “Chyorny spisok†and only in some years was renamed to Exventer. 2000 was the first year when the original lineup, consisting of guitarist / vocalist Evgeny Loginov “Cannibalâ€, guitarist Yuri Osokin “Screepâ€, bassist Stanislav Kryzhanovsky, drummer Sergey Bazhenov began to spread their music to Kemerovo region giving some gigs in different cities. Soon Screep left the band and three of Exventer went on working together. In 2001 the band changed the style a little bit and turned from death/trash to more complicated and requiring skills death/grind. In April 2001 free vocalist Bulldozer joined the band. In May – June 2001 Exventer recorded the first demo “Maniakalnoye Udovletvorenie†(“Maniacal Satisfactionâ€). It became obvious after some gigs that Bulldozer didn’t suit the band, so Pavel Zubarev (ex. Shadow Gard) took his place. In August 2002 the second guitarist Egor Kuzmin (ex. Vesper) joined Exventer.
In 2003 this lineup was engaged in recording of Exventer’s first full-length album in one of the Kemerovo studios under the direction of Aleksey Berg. It took much time to record a CD because Exventer couldn’t spend enough time in the studio and the bassist seemed to be entirely uninterested in working with the band. So, in spring 2002 Stanislav Kryzhanovsky was dismissed from Exventer. To find a bassist cost a lot of effort and took much time. In October 2004 Kirill Akhmetov joined the band. But soon after his first concert with Exventer he left the band in December 2004 and was replaced by Alexander Shemchuk. The end of 2004 was marked by the first album self-release called “Procedurum Finic†The band followed brutal/death style but at the same time experimented on the sound a little bit. “Procedurum Finic†was rather well criticized in various CIS printed and web editions. In September 2005 “Procedurum Finic†was re-released by label “Coyote recordsâ€. In October 2005 Exventer began touring Siberian cities together with the legendary Austrian death metal band Pungent Stench. By the beginning of this tour a new bassist – Konstantin Ozhogin - appeared in the band.
Having prepared new material Exventer started recording their second album “Bioconveyor of Instincts†in the famous Polish studio “Hertz†with Slavek and Wojtek Wieslawski who had worked before with Vader, Decapitated, Dies Irae etc. One of the world best mastering studios “Fullersound Inc.†was chosen for the last stage of the work. Michael Fuller famous for the work with Yngwie Malmsteen, Sepultura, Judas Priest, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Deicide performed the mastering for the album.
