Doug Plavin

I’ve had the privilege to play drums and percussion with some of the northeast’s most talented singer songwriters and roots music musicians. Most recently, it seems I've been locked away in my project studio producing some of my own material and mixing various side projects. But to my surprise, I've been playing out a whole lot more with the likes of Swing Caravan, Planet Zydeco, and Jim Henry, to name a few. I've also been involved with a variety of film projects and scores for Steve Schoenberg including the PBS series, American Experience.Over the past 15 years or so I’ve performed, toured, and/or recorded with Dar Williams, Joan Baez, Ellis Paul, Bill Morrissey, Brooks Williams, Mary Gauthier, Mark Erelli, Catie Curtis, Cry Cry Cry, The Nields, Cliff Eberhardt, Deb Talan, Deb Pasternak, Duke Levine, Jim Henry, Chris Devine, The Kitchen Table, Michael Gregory, and many others. My film score session credits include Passionfish, Limbo, Murder on Pleasant Drive, as well as the short-lived T.V. series, Parenthood.
