The Room With A View Sessions
Back in those days, those very first days of the year 2007. A man packed his car with a lot of guitars and other usefull stuff for audiorecordings. He drove up north, north to the town of Bergen. O' this town of rain, cod and music in the air. This man, well known as Eastwick parked his car outside an old house and rang the doorbell. His good friend Larsen opened the door. They became Sound+Vision, named after the song by David Bowie, the coolest man walking on Tellus.
During one short week, they managed to record only one song, The Ballad Of A Drunkend-Hearted Man. Finding inspiration from artists like Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits and Tom Petty the song started to take form. Neither of these artist could inspire this duo like the food they ate, the fatty pizza from the lokal grocerystore and the world famous norwegian hash! Like any brilliant countryduo, Sound+Vision are heavy consumers of the world famous Jack Daniel's. Along with the fantastic czech beer Kru--ovice, including a rare lemonflavoured Kru--ovice, they quick became kings of Bergen downtown.
Despite heavy hangovers the fought their way to the musicstores next day. Hidden behind big amps, Mr.Sound found a old used reverbpedal who would later become essential to their classic sound. During rainy days and nights the recording took some new turns, but no broken strings, hangovers, groupies, norwegian hash or memories of weird days could hold back the "A Room With A Room Sessions".
Later on, several months later, the next Sound + Vision tune took shape under Mr.Sound's pen. During lunchbreaks at the hospital, Sarah was born, it became a song about hope. Despite the georgraphical distance, and thanks to digital equipment, the recordings were transfered with ease between Mr. Sound and Mr. Vision. The song of Sarah, a girl seeking the meaning of the world, was born.
Sound+Vision will be making new songs as time passes by. When the time is right, Sound+vision will continue to record their songs. Rumors are telling of blues influence, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Meanwhile lean back and enjoy, the sound and vision...

The Sausage Sessions
... As 2007 went on, Mr. Sound went on with his writing. During the summer, Sound + Vision teamed up again and united stronger than ever at Mr. Sounds summer country home outside Haugesund.
The sessions was named after the dinners, saussage. For seven days a row the had saussage as dinner.
During four days one song was recorded; the summerhit-ish "Vagabond" about a man traveling the world. Also attending the "Sausage Sessions" was drummer Jostein Austvik of Greenwich Village.
Later the same week Mr. Sound & Mr.Vision headed for Bergen. It was here Mr. Sound found the inspiration to the newly released "Froglady". Girls giving away free candy, became a huge inspiration to him. Years had passed since someone gave him candy on(at???) the streets. Mr.Sound made his first lead vocal on a Sound + Vision song.
Sound + Vision also re-recorded the vocals and made a new mix of "O' Sweet Sarah".
Sound + Vision is hoping all the listeners out there will enjoy the new songs and the new video.
Stay tuned for (more) Sound + Vision!
Don't you wonder sometimes...???
