Da Rebelliouzz

About Me

The rap group Da Rebelliouzz is a duo made of a rapper well read in the books (Seneka the Chief) another rapper well studied in the street life (James Raymond), plus Allen Best (a vocalist) and Raven Parmley (a female rapper). Together, they represent a unique combination of perspectives reflected in the lyrics they write and the range of topics that they rap about is only matched by a few. Seneka the Chief was born Christopher Elliot Mullen in Jacksonville, North Carolina, but only lived there two years until his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina. Seneka’s father left him at the age of six, but came back to the state four years later. It was at that point that his school grades dropped. Seneka the Chief continued to live in Wilmington until shortly after his fourteenth birthday when his mother was evicted from her house and custody was switched to his father living in Newport. From there his grades continued to stay low until he picked them up a bit by his senior year, earning his diploma. He went to community college for a year, but flunked most of his classes and never went back. For the other rapper, James Raymond was born in Hawaii, but only stayed there a few short months before moving to Ohio and then to Newport, North Carolina. He was known in his neighborhood for his great fighting skills and almost always came out on top. But because of the temper he had, he was constantly in trouble, especially in school. James Raymond was suspended numerous times as the years passed; By the time he reached high school, the trouble was too much and he eventually dropped out (getting a GED later on because of a court order demanding him to get one or go to jail). The two rappers first met in the summer of 2004 and afterwards became great friends. At that point, James Raymond rarely wrote raps and Seneka the Chief was spitting with a cheap radio mic and recording tapes for the first time, but slowly, Seneka would attain the skills, and later the smarts for the rap business. It wasn’t until 2006 that James Raymond (originally called Shadow at the time) really took an interest in rapping. Shortly after, the two decided to join forces and their new group (originally called the Trick Slayers) was born. Unfortunantly, just days after they formed, they were nearly destroyed when James Raymond was involved in a high-speed car crash and momentarily died in the hospital. He ended up making a full recovery months later and the group has commenced recording songs ever since. Now with nothing to hinder them and their full focus on their rapping, Da Rebelliouzz plan to put North Carolina and the 252-910 area in its rightful place on the rap scene. ..
