I'm Nicolas and I'm studying Latin-Greek at some fancy looking highschool in Gent, Belgium. I've been on this school (Foxylane) my entire life, so I don't know how life is on other schools, but altogether I'm pretty happy with the school I'm on.
Like most metalheads, music is a huge part of my life. I wake up with music and go to sleep with it. I'm a very big fan of Hardcore and (Trash)Metal. I love going to gigs and festivals and I've got a cd-addiction: no mp3's or (il)legal downloads for me, I want the oldskool plastic case with booklet and a shiny disc!
I'm also member of the Belgian Roadrunner records streetteam, although this streetteam is as effecient as a deepfreezer on the Northpole.
Although I'm taking Catholic lessons at school, I'm not really religious. I just don't know if there is such a thing as 'God' or not. I believe the human ratio is not capable of finding out wheter God exists or not... The one thing I do like mentioning is that I can't stand Biblebashers - people constantly breaking off the Bible and saying it's all a bunch of cr*p. It's easy nowadays to say that what's written in the Bible is false or doesn't make any sense, however the Bible was written 2000 years ago, in a time where there was hardly any science. Everything in the Bible is criticism on society then and are explanations of things they couldn't understand. So it's easy nowadays to just laugh with it and break it down, but if you would've lived, let's say, 500 years ago, you too would believe every single bit of it.
So far the religious section of my profile.
Well, there's not much more to say about myself, you can see for yourself in my profile, although that hardly says anything. You can always leave a comment if you think my space is so cool or if you're just bored.
- Wouter, Matteo and me at the morning-after of Graspop 2007. The tent was trashed after Wouter's fall, how powermetal is that!
- Karel-Jan (although you can't reckognise him) and me at the Across Five Aprils concert in the Frontline in Gent. I'm the guy right in front, you can reckognise me at the 'New York Hardcore' t-shirt. Look well and you're sure to find me.
Top 5 of best shows/concerts I've ever been to :
1)Hatebreed, Unearth, Twelve Tribes, Ramallah, Death Before Dishonor, The Setup, This Is Hell @ Hof Ter Lo, Antwerpen 2006
2)Soulfly, Cowboys & Aliens @ Vooruit, Gent 2006
3)Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front, Parkway Drive, Bouncing Souls, Do Or Die, Bury Your Dead, Suicide Silence, Heaven Shall Burn, ... @ Groezrock, Meerhout 2008
4)Hatebreed, Ignite, Terror, Full Blown Chaos, Converge... @ Groezrock, Meerhout 2007
5)Morda, No Recess, Jerusalem The Black @ Frontline, Gent 2007

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

No one in special, but anyone who doesn't dislike metal, punk and hardcore music in general, who's open for humour and who doesn't think in the stereotypic way most people tend to think in. Anyother characteristics are not necessary. I can get along with anyone, as long as he/she gets along with my own interests.
He or she must own an electric guitar/bassguitar or drums on which I can come and play on! - just kidding.
Temporarly on MySpace, just to get KSE come to my hometown! Please anyone reading this, would you be so kind and help me get KSE to play here?

Persons I would like to meet again, although it's not possible anymore (R.I.P) are S and JP, people who know me might know whom I'm talking about.
Artists I would love to meet (again) are Max Cavalera (Soulfly, The Cavalera Conspiracy), Vinny Stigma & Roger Miret (Agnostic Front) and Across Five Aprils (I really enjoyed talking to them for about an hour at Groezrock 2007, you guys are so down-to-earth and open for your fans)
And finally, I dedicate this paragraph entirely to the one and only Walker Texas Ranger : Chuck Norris! Man, would I like to meet this legend! Did you know that when Chuck Norris does push-ups, he doesn't push himself up? No, he pushes the earth down!
Did you know why Chuck Norris never wears a watch? Because he decides what time it is!
Chuck Norris is my hero and I would give anything to meet him. Anyother Chuck Norris fan, looking at my space, feel free to leave a comment after reading this. I'm even planning on making a Chuck Norris fanpage real soon and ofcourse a Chuck Norris filmmarathon! Yes, that's right : 42km 182m Chuck Norris filmmaterial!
The following video is by far my favorite song. It's called Gotta Go and performed by Agnostic Front, the godfathers of NYHC and legends in the hardcore scene. Enjoy.
