QUARTERED (Needs a Bassist)

About Me

QUARTERED: When all four limbs are ripped from the torso, leaving four bloody stumps. QUARTERED was formed in early 2007 by Steve Hall (Ex-Dead Enemy Suicide) and Shawn Murray (Ex-Dead Enemy Suicide, Ex-Pigslop). Originally just to jam and write some brutal music for ourselves. After our first practice, we had a song written and ideas for a 2nd song. We quickly saw the potential for a killer death metal band with the addition of a few more members. After talking to our friend Ken Karpinski (The Murder Capital, Ex-Left to Vanish), he came on board for vocals. After a couple months of writing we thought instead of recording a demo we should just record an EP. Ken came up with the title for our first cd within a couple of weeks, The title was SPLATTER PATTERN PARADOX. We all agreed that SPLATTER PATTERN PARADOX was a fitting title for our first cd due to the style of music and the lyric content of the songs. We continued to practice and write new songs for the next 6 months before entering the studio in early march of 2008. SPLATTER PATTERN PARADOX was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Will Yip at Bradford sound in 4 days from march '08 to april '08. In late April 2008 we decided to try out a bass player. We let our friend Billy K listen to the cd SPLATTER PATTERN PARADOX and he was interested in trying out for QUARTERED. After a short practice Bill had a few songs down and we asked him to join QUARTERED. Sometime after we recorded we got in contact with Tony Koehl to draw up a logo for QUARTERED. In early may 2008 QUARTERED signs with Death Star Records to release our debut cd SPLATTER PATTERN PARADOX. In june 2008 we get the finished logo from Tony Koehl and it is a masterpiece.

After Quartered played a few live shows we were immediately recognized as one of the premier death metal bands in the philadelphia area. With an intense live show and samples as well Quartered destroys every stage we walk on. During the summer and fall of 2008 we played many shows in and around philly with local bands and touring bands from all over the United States and Europe.

We just got the order in to get our cds repressed and should have them in time for our september 1st show with ORIGIN and MORTAL DECAY. So that will be the new release date for SPLATTER PATTERN PARADO...
