From my bio:Having taken his first steps in music by playing in guitar bands in the eighties and producing 12" dance records in the early nineties, Andre went on to become a lighting designer and operator for several bands and the legendary club RoXY in Amsterdam. During that period he started experimenting with computers and music software and was so impressed with the creative possibilities of this that he decided to go back into music making. Andre then specialised in music sound design which is the creation and design of specific sounds ranging from a simple bell to a dark texture which, for example, evolves into a punchy drumbeat. For the last couple of years Andre has been working closely with Junkie XL and collaborated as additional music sound designer and synthesizer programmer for a lot of Junkie XL productions such as the 2004 restyling of Dutch Ned 3 TV station, and remixes for Britney Spears, Depeche Mode and others. Through his work for Junkie XL his sound libraries have also been used for major feature films like Domino, Catwoman, Chronicles of Riddick, and the Matrix' Path of Neo videogame. Andre also works for music software companies such as market leader Native Instruments where he designs sounds and presets for newly developed music software. In 2006 he cofounded Mutate Music together with Dutch DJ/ producers Erick E and Matthew Dekay for producing sync music for ads and has recently started a collaboration with Matthew Dekay for his productions. Nowadays, working in LA, he just finished working on remixes for Scissor Sisters, Justin Timberlake, Madonna and the soundtracks for the new EA games SSX Blur and Need for Speed.
