About Me

Just ask....until I come up with witty paragraph to insert...

My Interests

I love being active and trying things I've never done before. I like going out to eat, and I don't only mean fine dining, I love any place that has great food and a good atmosphere, even if it's a hole in the wall place. I found this amazing chorizo place in Chicago...oooh, I miss it! I also love watching good movies and I don't think I go to the theater enough these days! I miss playing the piano, it's like my own personal meditation time.

I'd like to meet:

My grandparents. I didn't know many nearly well enough.

Music:

I love all types of music for different occasions. For dancing it's definitely got to be trance and house. ATB is by far my favorite DJ, and that's saying a lot considering I can't pick a favorite of anything else. I also love old school 80s songs, always a good time. Alternative, pop, even country. There's a time and place for everything. I also have to mention this singer/musician I heard performing in the subway station in Chicago, Gonzalo Silva. He sounded so amazing I bought a CD right there and it's one of my favorite ones to date. Also have to mention my good friend's band, Anaka. Now, I'm not a heavy metal girl by ANY means, but this stuff is GOOD, real good. Of course I like the ballads the best, you should check them out, they've got a site on here.

Movies:

Elizabethtown, Crash, LOTR trilogy, Star Wars Trilogy, Star Wars III, The Princess Bride,The Fifth Element, Waterworld, For the Love of the Game, Clueless, The Golden Child, Saw I&II, Marry Poppins, Dirty Dancing, Finding Nemo, The Constant Gardner, Boogie Nights, The Game, Necessary Roughness, A River Runs Through It, Dangerous Beauty, Count of Monte Cristo, Pirates of the Carribbean, The Sandlot, Flight of the Navigator, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Memento, Heat, Casino, A Bronx Tale, Pulp Fiction, Ever After, Primal Fear, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, American History X, The Jacket, Butterfly Effect...looks like I'm all over the place haha! There are tons others that I like, but these are the movies I LOVE.

Television:

I like educational TV, learning about animals, the end of the Earth, King Tut, etc. I do have a few guitly pleasures though...

Books:

A New Earth, by Ekhart Tolle...if everyone read this, it really could change the world. Harry Potter for a bit of childlike fantasy. Fortune's Rocks, mysteries, thrillers. And pretty much anything my mom gives me to read. I could spend 3hrs in a bookstore trying to pick out something and would leave with nothing.

Heroes:

My Dad. Other than that? I don't have any...is that bad?
