SAUTI- The Voice
An international music group coming live from Uganda, East Africa, we are recording and performing artists, spreading the word through dance and music..
In 2004, a talented group of Musicians and Dancers formed a group and called themselves "Sauti", Meaning the Voice, or Sound in Swahili.
Sauti's sole aim is to spread the message of 'Faith, Hope and Love' for all those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.
Bahatta, Kenny MZQ, Timothy, Sami K and WhoDatt are the pioneers of this project, amassing to hundreds and hundreds of live performances.
Down the track Sami K and Timothy embarked on their own separate projects. Continuing with the group are Bahatta, Kenny MZQ and WhoDatt.
The first year was spent making their debut album "Sauti- Tha Projekt" , which became very popular in East Africa, especially Kenya.
That year Sauti had also become well-known for their live shows and for their hit song "Mwijje" (which means "Come" in Luganda) which triumphed on the East African Music Charts. Other popular songs include Furaha, Tumpatie, Everybody Praise and Bells Ringing. Sauti’s music is played constantly on all of the radio stations in East Africa. Sauti performed at the opening of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) launch in East Africa,
They were soon inundated with invitations to perform supporting acts with Kirk Franklin, Bishop T.D Jakes, Papa San, LimitX, Jaunita Byrnum, Cece Winans, First Love, toured with 7 Simple Pieces from Hawaii , performed for Foot-Soldiers Foundation in Gulu with Richard Kaweesa and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces, and many many Churches and Schools, just to name a few, and had zillions of calls to speak on Live Radio shows.
The Following year Sauti embarked upon making a new 16 track
album "Amazing". Which is in stores now!
Sauti are now expanding their horizons in Australia and America, launching their new album, recording new music videos, touring and moving forward.
