About Me
I started before my delivery by kicking my mom's insides while listening to some good old Led Zeppelin....lol!I've been surrounded by music all my life. Had a recording studio at home since I was 5 and started to play piano.
I've quit piano several times. Just hated the robotic style my teachers tought me. I had piano courses till the age of 12.Since then, I never really touched piano as much...I discovered an other passion ; Percussions! It all started in december 2005. I was asked randomly to play in a bar for the first time even though I never played percussions before. It seemed so natural, and I could express myself with such an ease....I fell in love with the stage, my hands hitting the skin and creating astonishing sounds while people were not expecting such power from a tiny person like me. And people still think that I'm the signer when I get on stage....before I get behind my drums heheThen, I started to join some bands who appreciated my rythms starting with The Ramblers. My hands suffered with these guys (I'll spare you the detales lol!)...loved it so much I forgot the pain. Then met more and more talented musicians who I had the pleasure to share the stage with..I've had the chance to play on great stages such as; Just for laugh festival, Monument Nationnal, Place des Art, Tohu (August 2006), Bell Center (January 2007) and many more...I added some percussions on a demo for "Human Vibes" - "Vibes from the Past" (May 2007). I also took part of the Insolita production (sept 2007). I am now playing with Maloukai, Sola & Las Lolas and I take part of many projects here and there such as "What is Hip", "Human Vibes", "Amarula promotion, Santana Tribute"...I have recently met Giovanni Hidalgo and Raul Rekow, two of the greatest percussionists on this planet. www.nasyrium.comI've learned alot and I hope that I will always refresh myself with discoveries and new ideas; as crazy as they sound, better they are hehe.At this point, I play Bongos, Darbouka, Djembe, Congas, shakers of many kinds and piano. Since Sept 2008, I started Tablas with a great teacher known as the founder of the "Tonronto Tabla Ensemble", ~Ritesh Das~. It's a big step....will see how it goes! Geh Geh te teh, Geh Geh na na/Geh Geh te teh, Geh Geh nana/ Ke Ke te teh, Ke Ke na na/ Geh Geh te teh, Geh Geh na na! It's a start lol!Love,
