The Japanese formulation is considered preservative-free in: Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, however, there are 3-4 ingredients that are considered preservatives here in the U.S. Each product was reformulated in the second generation formula in order to produce a preservative-free skin care system that could be introduced into the U.S. and Canada. Each country has its own specific guidelines for preservatives as utilized in skin care and cosmetic products. With this reformulation, does Mannatech offer the first or only preservativefree skin care line in the U.S.? Mannatech is not the first or the only, but we are one of the first companies to offer a waterbased, preservative-free skin care system with clinically proven hydration properties. Our products also do not require refrigeration as do many other preservative-free lines. Are there special considerations that need to be taken into account for this preservative-free skin care line? Keep skin care products at room temperature whenever possible and do not expose them to direct heat or sunlight for optimum utilization. Keep all caps on products when not in use. It is best to utilize products within the first 3-4 months after opening. What is the current shelf life of our Optimal Skin Care System? One year after opening and three years after manufacturer’s date. Does the Optimal Skin Care System contain only organic ingredients? No, because organic ingredients that meet all of the required functionalities are not currently available. However, we searched for the best ingredients that would combine naturally and offer optimum skin care results without the utilization of synthetic preservatives or parabens.
