I started to play guitar when I was 14 and realized that it was the best thing I’ve ever done. It all started when I heard some Jimi Hendrix tunes and I got caught by his sound and his way of playing. I was really focused upon Hendrix for years, trying to learn the songs, until I discovered the loads of guitar heroes that would inspire me to try different styles. Yngwie Malmsteen became my next great inspiration from whom I learned a lot. From there I started to listen to various guitar players and bands from the 70..s and 80..s.
At the age of 16 I attended Rytmus, school of music in Stockholm, where my main instrument at the time was piano. I’ve played classical piano for several years. However, I didn’t feel quite comfortable of being a pianist in the rock-scene, so I took every opportunity I could to play bass or guitar instead. I also liked recording music in the studio and took a couple of courses, which have been good help for my recordings at home.
I’ve always had the passion of playing different instruments, even drums for a time. But my interest in singing came very late into the picture, so I’m focusing on that right now.
In May 2006 I took part in a guitar-competition arranged by the Swedish radio-station 106.7 Rockklassiker. The theme was to play an improvisation solo based on Led Zeppelins “Heartbreakerâ€. I got second and won a guitar. The same week I did an extended version of my performance on the Led Zeppelin Polar Prize Week at Mosebacke.
I have played in several rock bands, most of them consisted of girls. As we always strived in different directions I finally decided to go my own way and work with people who share my music interests.
Right now I'm recording some songs at Studios 301 in Stockholm!
