The Groove Altar

About Me

Former members of Bay area favorites the Swingin' Mooks, Saturn 5, Gravy, and more, Josh Horton (guitar and vox), Tommy "Coco Velvet" Fessenden (drums and vox), and Lemonjello (bass and vox) have come together and reinvented the concept of the Power Trio. Seamlessly infusing a blend of rock, funk, ska, and reggae, the Groove Altar has created a sound as original and timeless as their power trio predecessors. They've just hit the studio and begun recording their second CD due out it early Fall. Take a listen to the new track, "Now I See" for a little sample and come on out to a show. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for supporting live music!
