J Beretta grew up in the Bronx, November 13th 1988..at a young age he was exposed to things most aren't. Being the youngest of 2 kids, from a single mother, he was raised with a good education and with the knowledge from right and wrong. Although at times, his angry demeanor and quick reactions would catch the best of him. And with no one to really guide him towards the right path he often had to make many wrong choices before choosing the right ones. After time past, he realized that he needed to express himself with less aggression. He then found reading helped him to relax and to calm down, he then devoted a lot of his time to writing stories about things he witnessed in his neighborhood. This plus encouragement from some local rappers and friends pushed him to put his focus on rapping. He then began to write lyrics. At first just as something to pass the time by, he then developed to putting most of his time into perfecting his technique. He along with his Four "brothers" started PIFF Squad (or Paid In Full Family). He then branched out and started New Era with Yung. His Influences consisted of his personal demons, anger, and activities, intertwined with actual events, in the Bronx, or elsewhere, with some parts taken straight from his mind. His flow is often underestimated, because of his heavy body frame, standing only at 5'6'. It's often hard to imagine, the roughness and at times the speed of lyrics to come out of him. He tends to be more lyrical than song wise, which is a blessing and a curse all in itself, he currently runs New Era's Myspace Page personally..... Comment da New Era here....
