J. Wesley & The Ministers

About Me

After 10 years performing in the Akron area (Mojo Honey, 10 Cent Lovers), Jason Wesley migrated to New Orleans seeking new musical endeavors. After a few of years playing jazz, blues, rock, etc., his life was thrown a curve ball in the form of Hurricane Katrina. While he came through the storm relatively unscathed, his band, as well as the music scene in New Orleans as a whole, took quite a beating. A year after post-Katrina struggling, Jason returned to his hometown to rebuild, regroup, refresh. Joining forces with old friends Rob Janowiak (10 Cent Lovers, Connor O'Brien) and Jason Edwards (Mike Lenz, Wanda Hunt), as well as with new comer Danny Shapira, the band J. Wesley & The Ministers was formed. Drawing influences from his days in New Orleans as well as from funk, rock, and pop, the band plays passionate, up-tempo music that is sure to connect with audiences.
