I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)Lana Fe stepped onto the Latin music scene in 2002 when she was discovered at a party in Los Angeles by lead rapper Josue Noriega; of the Latin group Hip Hop Hoodios. She felt right at home as a vocalist/performer when this quirky Latin-Jewish alternative hip hop group made her their “Hoodia Honeyâ€. The indie signed group (Jazzhead Records) was comprised of members of well known bands such as Jaguares, Orixa, Santana, Klezmatics, and Los Abandoned. Lana Fe performed live on LATV with Hip Hop Hoodios and starred in two of their music videos which were on heavy rotation on MTV-Español, Mun², LATV, SiTV, and VH1. The bi-coastal band performed all around the west coast, the east coast, and had their European debut in Paris.
As Lana Fe continued on in her music ventures, she found herself in New York City and was quickly introduced to Dominican culture as she was again discovered. Three days after being approached at an event, Lana Fe appeared on the international broadcast of Despierta America on Univision with Pablo Bachata, a musical fusion of Bachata and Merengue mixed with Hip Hop. The group was composed of two lead rappers, a male singer and Lana Fe was the female vocalist/performer accompanied by a 7-piece band. The group traveled and performed in many festivals, had live radio appearances, and television appearances on Despierta America several times.
Lana Fe has also performed as a dancer/vocalist with well known Ecuadorian groups Audi and DJ Che Che. With DJ Che Che, she had television appearances on Telemundo and was a principal in his Ecuareggaeton video.
Lana Fe has finally found her own niche with the help of composer, producer, friend and very talented artist Dru Hepkins of Rockult Entertainment. The aforementioned fateful union has lead toward Lana Fe’s eclectic mix of experimental club music with Spanish and Mediterranean undertones. Her style of sensual vocalizing combines singing with spoken word poetry. With impressive originality and a sophisticated fusion of world music, Lana Fe offers an exciting, innovative and eclectic new sound worthy of mainstream attention.
