Dortea was born in 1984 in a little town called Qasigiannguit, Greenland. She has 2 older sisters, Sara (1978) & Katrine (1983). They moved to Aasiaat and a few years later they moved to Sisimiut and it became their "hometown". Dortea had a good childhood, filled with activities such as cross country skiing, badminton, handball and snowboarding, and she enjoyed it with her best friend Ajaaja. Dortea finished 10th grade in school and in 2000 she moved to Denmark to go to Ingstrup Efterskole, with her best friend. It was a very interesting year with a lot of possibilities. Dortea wanted to improve her english better, so she decided to take a year in USA as an exchange student. In 2001 she became a part of an American family and went to high school at Jefferson High School, Jefferson Wisconsin. The Dairy State.:-) She finished high school with blood, sweat and tears. It was not an easy year, but it filled her confidence and unforgetable memories. In the years 2002-2005, she went to school in Aasiaat (GU) and in 2005 she moved to Nuuk to go to the University. She studied Management & Economics and quickly found out that is was not in her interest and decided to work instead of studying. She finally dropped out of university in January 2007 and moved to Copenhagen to take a Stewardess education. A few weeks later she passed her exams, got her wings and moved to Narsarsuaq, Greenland, for a two year contract. She now works at Air Greenland as a stewardess in the Sikorsky S-61 helicopter. She loves her job which has the most beautiful view along the coast of south greenland. Up up and awaaaay:-) She met her boyfriend Bjørn on May 25th 2007 and is still very much in love:)
