In the highly overlooked Hip Hop scene of Americas largest state. Phonetic is regarded as the regions top battle mc and is among the most respected mc's in Alaska. In 03 he founded Feedus Productions and released THE BIRTH with Highly Unlikely a group from South East Alaska with fellow mc's-Lp3, Myself the Meathead, and producer D-Script. Soon after his battle skills would catch the attention of Akream founder and CEO of Arctic Flow Records and Icebox Ent. the states premier indy Hip Hop record label. Phonetic released his first solo album THE NOTEBOOK in 06 on Icebox Ent. (available on Itunes). In the next three years Phonetic would remain undefeated as a battler, perform over 75 shows, and open for such names as Eyedea, Common Market, Zion I and the Grouch, Delltron, Devon the Dude, Swollen Members,Cypress Hill, and many others. Phonetic is now working with Homeskillet Records (Homeskilletrecords.com) Founded in 04 by Nick Glannin, and George Huff.
Homeskillet Records is an independant Record Label that consists of numerous artists. From Hip Hop to Blue Grass Homeskillet Records has it all. HSR founded the Home Skillet Festival in 06 and has made it an annual event every July in Sitka Alaska.
Phonetic is about to release his Sophomore Solo album EMPLOYEE OF THE "WEAK". The album will feature Eyedea from Rhymesayers Ent., and also Dj Astronomar and Dj Smack(File Jerks).
