I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm an L.A. native that moved away once I realized that I was a small town girl at heart. Spent most of my adult life in Northern California, behind the Redwood Curtain. A three year span in between in Santa Maria California, along the Central Coast loving the sunshine and the small town feel only two hours outside of L.A. I moved to Seattle in 2002 to continue my career in television, but hoping that something else would stumble my way and make me not a news junky anymore. While in Humboldt I met the woman who captured my heart. Scared me to the core, because she was/is the woman I had always dreamed I meet. Sweet, kind, caring, funny, spiritual, compassionate, and full of joy and life. She makes me want to be a better person everyday. And has made my life more complete by joining me here in Seattle about 4 years ago now. The song playing is pretty much how I feel about her and sometimes I don't think she really knows just how much I love her and try to shower her with everything I can. I am just looking for friends and people who share a common interest in life and making fun of ourselves and the idiots that are running the country and our workplaces. Animal lover, and dork at heart. I would rather give a stray animal a home, than help a drunk fool on the street corner looking for enough change to score a 40.

My Interests

Sports, playing them, watching them, reading about them on ESPN.com. Animals in general as they amaze me. Organic gardening, and all things green and sticky-icky. Music varies, but I am not into a lot of pop crap, nor do I need to be depressed listening to EMO. Was heavy into Alternative Rock and Punk in my younger years, but have found that I am just not that angery anymore and don't need to feel other peoples pain to know that I am alive. Love to be out on the water in any form.

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking to meet people with an off beat sense of humor, who don't take themselves seriously and know how to laugh at the world around them. I have a warped sense of humor and find horrible things funny. Be twisted but not into hurting the innocents of the world, animals or kids(unless they deserve to be locked in the basement and fed saltine crackers).

Music:

From Classical to Country and everything in between. Love Old school Rap and Hip Hop, as well as dance and techno, dance hall, reggae, etc., etc.,

Movies:

9 1/2 Weeks, Angel Heart, The Exorcist, Nightmare Before Christmas, All of Me, The Hellraiser series, also love the Prophecy series with Christopher Walken, City of Angels, A Fish Called Wanda,Blade, Blade Runner, Cruising (1980),

Television:

Queer as Folk, The "L" Word, Weeds, CSI orignal and the CSI NY, Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty, DEXTER!, Without a Trace, ESPN SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight, Discovery Health Channel, and TLC, DIY Network, Logo Channel. Almost forgot Baseball on TV, Go Cubs!!

Books:

I am a vampire freak in my readings choice, even though Jade doesn't really like those kinds of books, The da vinci code and the other books by Dan Brown, Anne Rice, L.A. Banks and the Vampire Huntress Series (finished the 9th book and WAITING for another one), dramas, lesbian novels and one handed reading books, Mysteries, and Crime thrillers. I also will read anything that has an animal as the main character. If you want to read a very moving series about the struggles between good and evil, the choices we make and our fate because of free-will read the L.A. Banks Vampire Huntress series. It all applies to the lives we lead today, just with a good dollap of sci-fi and sex.

Heroes:

go on, but I admire *real* people doing goods things with their lives and being good people with love for life and those around them and a little zest with it.
