About Me

Did you ever notice how everyone’s profiles are written in the third person? It’s kind of silly, really. We read these things and know that they were written by the person who is actualy talking about themselves. This won’t be any different, with the exception of being in the first person. I grew up in Port Jervis, NY, and started playing guitar in 1969, on a Kawaii Auditorium my Dad picked up in Yokohama. Years later he also picked up a Gibson Classical at a truck stop, which is featured on Silent Night and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. My early gigs usually came about because of my involvement in the Boy Scouts. Lots of Troop meetings and Camporees. Some may recall "Me & McGee", which featured Joe Banach’s percussive banquet, and also introduced me to a whole new world called "West End". I played in some NY/NJ bands after high school, and did a brief stint on the road in a show band. In 1979 I went to Vermont visit some friends, and stayed for 22 years. While I was there I played with some of the best musicians no one knows, including Bob Boyer, Jon Chiara, Dan Wing, Mark Lurvey, Duane Carleton, Chuck Miller, Chris Adams, Todd Mulvey, John Harris, Mike Oliver, Lloyd Herman, Pete&Jen Marriott, Wayne Canney, Terry Jaye, Thad Montiero, Kevin Quinn, Guy Burlage, Dany Flanders, Lane Gibson, Lenny Hayden, George Erwin, Charlie&Tim Rice, Will Hagenlocher, Kris Kleeman, Larry Mitchell, Dick Easter, Steve Audsley, Frank Barnes, Knobby Reed, Billy Comstock, Ace Leonard, Jimmy Mee, Bob Stannard, Sal DiTroia, Brad Morgan, Billy Shappee, John Carlton, The Neville Brothers, Jon Butcher, Pat Benetar, Curt Stannard, Rick Reddington, Johnny Azer, Jeff Howell, Sandra Wright, Mike Sullivan, Bear Irwin, Tim Comings, Penny Knight, Bobby Van Detta, Tim Lynch, Andy Hanscom, Steve McLaughlin, Mark Huntley, John Hines, Cliff Lyons, Doug Boutchard, Pete Henault, Bruce Dunn, Gordy Gourley, Mike Tracey, Mark&Deb Bond, Ray Vasso, Jim Gilmour, and Laura Molinelli. These folks are still playing great music. I got to produce a little with Laura and Jim, namely the tune that opens on Laura’s web page, check it out. In August of 1991, my friend Scotty Hill mentioned me in the cover story done on him by Guitar World Magazine. That was kind of cool. I’m a bit of a gear junky, and I collect amps, especially old Ampegs. You can hear my favorite, a mid-60’s Jet, on "Love’s Call" played beautifully by my stepson, Rich. Hopefully I can feature one I’ve built on this page soon. I moved to New Jersey in 2001 to be with the love of my life. Since I’ve been here I have played in The Royal Scam, a tribute to Steely Dan. So far, I’ve been blessed to play with Jay Dittamo, Tom Boettger, Leo Marino, Wendi Gordy, Peter Schuelzky, Mike Pinnella, Dave Hartkern, Mark Stasio, Glenn Alexander, Brent Klopp, Eliot Jacobs, Al DiMeola, Jeff Catania, Steve Toll, Allen Grant, Mike Caputo, Askold Buk, Phil Long, Steve Chapman, John Walby, Kate Sullivan, Gino Amato, my stepson Rich Feola, Randy Kovac, my brother Patrick McGee, Joe Montini, Thomas Mack, Ray & Kathy Rice, Joelle Hayes, Kenny Acensio and Andrea Valentini while here in Jersey. Hopefully, I’ll keep adding to the list. I’ve made many new friends, most of whom are featured on this page in the "friends" section. I am currently involved with worshipping Our Lord at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge. Check for live webcasts at www.ccob.org. I have been very blessed. I’m recently married and a Born-Again Christian. I reside in central New Jersey with my wife, Karen, and two children, Rich and Camille.
