About Me

In the early 90's Matt Clark aka Dj Mocean, began his interest for EDM with regular visits to some of the Mid-West's best clubs like: EBM, Lizard Lounge, The Church, Nation, Star 7, and Club 1. He began to hear new sounds emerging that were rich in funk and full of raw steady bass lines and a relentless back beat that kept your body flowing all night long. With local support such as: Dj Love, Kelly Reverb, Kid Icurus, Dustin Skiles, Jeremy Dawson, Ed Crunk and Jason Jacobs playing some of the finest in all genres of EDM, he knew what he wanted to do and wouldn't stop until he was there. From that point forth was the birth of something deep inside him which was released through his auditory & musical abilities and passion of good strong dance music.
He has played it all from Ghetto Tech & Booty House of the early 90's to Acid & Electro Breaks in the late 90's and early 2000. Then switching to something full of energy and bass with UK Hard House for several years. Currently he plays a funky selection of Tribal House and Dirty Electro with a blend of Minimal Techno, but still pulls out the classics and rare gems from his years and years of vinyl collecting.
Playing shows, clubs, and private events across the United States and Mexico, Dj Mocean has certainly developed a name for himself by high energy style and playing the crowds to an overwhelming build up and climax, knowing exactly how to read the crowd and feed off of them into a frenzy of great dance music!
Dj Mocean started on the production side of EDM with his very first release in 2004 of "Tribal Phusion" which grabbed the attention of Dj Rooster & Sammy Peralta who have played this track in many live dj sets. Since that day he has released several other titles that include a nice remix of "Shiny Disco Balls" by Who Da Funk (Jorge Jaramillo). "Shiny Disco Drums" which was released in early 2006 has had non stop raves and reviews from all fans of minimal chunky tribal house. Debuting at 1 on A.P's tribal house charts, this track sat strong there for several months straight until moving down 2 notches to 3. His next release "Path of Drums" which came out a few months later was also on top of the A.P. charts for a lenghthy amount of time. Both of these tracks landed him the attention of some wonderful people across the United States and Europe and both tracks have been played in clubs and underground events by some of the biggest Dj's across the East coast with Peter Presta blowing clubs up with "Shiny Disco Drums" in NYC as well as plays by Pimztress Rah, and Ramz in the D.C. Area at Pre-Fix and Nation. In late 2006 Dj Mocean was signed to France's digital house label Cyberdrum Recordings with the release of his original production remake of Madison Avenue's "Who The Hell Are You" which has hit huge in Europe with plays in some the biggest clubs anywhere, and topping the A.P. charts again at 1.
Still today he is going strong, booking more and more gigs all the time, reaching out to new ears and rocking dance floors all over the country with his collection of bangin sounds from past & present as well as many of his own production pieces and remixes.
