“Aspen Switzer writes with honesty, courage and wit. She stands on stage and she enchants. Not in a cutesy way, but with guts and sweetness and grit, and yes, love.†~ Rita Moir, multi award-winning author
Aspen’s pure and powerful voice sets her apart and brings meaning to the subtle poetry found in her lyrics. Her influences range from Folk to Country to Bluegrass to Rock and Jazz – but she has evolved a style that is all her own. Aspen is not just a great singer, she is a performer: effortlessly building a rapport with her audience from the moment she steps on stage and leaving everyone captivated with her humor, authenticity and humanity. Her shows are reflective, funny and beautiful.
Aspen’s second CD, “Humble but bearing no apologyâ€, (released Nov. 2008) was chosen as a finalist for 3 awards at the 2009 BC Interior Music Awards (Folk/Traditional Recording of the Year, Roots/World Recording of the Year and CD/DVD Artwork Design of the Year)
Aspen has played venues in England, Hungary and across Canada from Victoria to Charlottetown.
