Long trips took me to Uqbar, just when I started to think that this region was irreal. Uqbar is well known for it´s people strange hate towards mirrors ("mirrors and marriage are abominable, because they multiply human being"). Both persian and otoman influences have developed a unique style of playing music, using such instruments as uktar, barbakt, darb, specially prepared for the use of microtones. Uqbarnagh tries to make compilation of ancient mystical songs from this land, played with uktar, the most representative instrument in Tsai Jaldun (Uqbar). Enrique Galdeano begins relationship with music in 1988, experimenting with analogic synths while learning the playing of ethnic string and percussion musical instruments. Since then he has colaborated with bands as Musica Reservata, Ensemble Durendal, Horthy, Grey Souls, Clarobscuro, Merak19… and recorded in studio for “La noche de Angus Reed†(Roberto Molero.- 1994), “horthy†(Horthy.- 2003; Horthy#2.- 2006) or “Bagdag rap†(Original Soundtrack with Mikel Salas.- 2004) I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
