I Heart My Mulabandha

About Me

I've always thought of myself as a fairly mainstream, middle-of-the road kind of girl. But recently I have realized that mainstream means Walmart, McDonald's, Snakes on a Plane, Justin Timberlake, driving everywhere, feeling that our country is just fine. None of which describes me.I'm more likely to be reading about how to reform the national school lunch program and save the next generation from a lifetime of obesity than a Star magazine. That doesn't make me special, it just means I don't really relate to "mainstream" America anymore. Which is really a shame; if you want to influence people or change their views, you've got to find some way of getting through to them, and if you can't relate to them on any level, it's damned near impossible. I'm still thinking this through. I don't know what the answer for our future is but I'm sure it involves slowing down, turning our backs on some of the "advances" we've made, and focusing on people as people, rather than resources.Oh, and I like gelato. plain layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
