About Me

Kweilin, known for her thought provoking lyrics and poetic delivery has been embracing the MC component of Hip Hop for about 3 years now and has been a poet for about 2 decades. Kweilin was raised in the Homewood section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and faithfully represents a quote that was said by a person that she admires, Brendan Francis a famous Irish dramatist and poet, “If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don’t hoard it. Don’t dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire going for broke.” Kweilin came on the scene as a poet in 1997 but it wasn’t confirmed until Hip Hop Promotional Icon DaButtonPusha aka Da Constant Grinda introduced her to the world of a lyricist vibin’ with music (MC) in 2005. This opportunity allowed Kweilin, former President of JPB Productions, to express herself in a new found way in addition to spoken word…music. While with JPB, Kweilin had the opportunity to perform at various venues such as The Hip Hop Buffet Series, The HKAN, Sound Kitchen events, opening for Bone Thugs and Harmony at Mr. Smalls Theatre and was featured on mix tapes released by JPB. After parting ways with JPB Productions in 2007, Kweilin signed with the independent label Rebelutionary Music “the label that brings the truth to the youth” in early 2008. Wasting no time hitting the studio Kweilin recorded the promotional album “We All Ate In The Same Place (The Mix Tape)” due to hit the streets in May 2008. The project allows Kweilin the opportunity to display her lyrical content over various popular industry beats. Currently, Kweilin is in the studio working with producers Ishmael Muhammad, Grant Norris, K Owe and others on her solo debut album due for release in late 2008 on Rebelutionary Music. With the majority of female Hip Hop artists focusing lyrical content on sexuality and money, Kweilin says “ its time to unleash a new level into the underground Hip Hop world and set a quality standard of how a lady should conduct herself.” Coming Soon…. Kweilin “We All Ate In The Same Place (The Mix Tape)” Come See Me – Video Solo Debut Album
