I was Born june 1,1982 (the youngest of eight kids to my father,oldest of six to my mother) in Indianapolis,Indiana. My first Rap video i ever saw was Public Enemy,and My first cassette tape ever bought was the homie E-40 (In a Major Way). I won my first rap contest at age nine.I wrote my first rap at fifteen. Im not a "free"style artist, Im more focused on creating hit records. I was part of the local rap group "Controversy. " During my time with Controversy I performed at many talent shows and gained some recognition. I Signed my first contract with local record company Fearless Records and Label Owner James Schwickheimer on June 2,1998. Less than a week later,the rap group Eighteen-Five was formed. I was known as Lil Static and my brother/co-partner was known as Mr. Cheezy. While at Fearless Records, i met a few artist and collaborated with The Young Souls (Fly-G and Barberman)and Tha Dalinkwent. Two weeks after signing with Fearless Records; we managed to land two tracks (Cause-n-Effect and Gangstaz and Thugs)on the label's compilation "Livin' Fearless," back in July of 1998.We recorded over twenty tracks with the label before leaving the label in October due to internal problems within the label. While on Fearless, I (then known as Lil Static) met local rapper/producer D-Boy. I instantly began working on music with D-Boy, landing a spot on D-Boys 1998 My People pt.2 project. While D-Boy wanted to sign the group for himself,I and Mr. Cheezy were signed to a contract with Fearless Records forbidding us from making any other endeavors. Once we left the label in October, we linked up with D-Boy and a few other rappers (Menace,Thug Illusion,Yung Jun,Dyce Gunna,Martel) and began working on music with D-Boy. In 1999,I performed at Straquest with Controversy. In 2000,Controversy placed second in WTHR channel 13's "Project XL" talent competition. We made the March issue in the Star & News in 2001 for performing at Emmerich Manual Highschool's Christmas play. I was the main feature of the 2001 Ghetto monopoly,compilation released under D-Boy's Blacklotus Records/D-Productions imprint. Songs like Ghetto Monopoly,and Hoodrat, created a mark in the local scene for me.I hooked back up with controversy to release their Compilation Controversial times, which was the last album that I and friend Lloyd "Blades" Price Jr. was a part of. Shortly after, there was a label created in memory of our fallen friend called "Blades Ent." I created C.M.E MUSIC with my brother Mr. Cheezy in Jan. of 2003. The label released a compilation (tha unit),and The midwest Mobstaz (Hoodmobbin) album which it will remaster and re-issue early 2008 with new music from myself and other artist.RESPECT the HU$TLE!
