The city of Refuge Church in Gardena California is the home of over 20,000 members. under the leadership of one of the greatest voices in the kingdom, Bishop Noel Jones...they have embarked upon a new phase in ministry. Known for being an awesome preacher...Bishop Jones is also a lover of great music. In 2006 Bishop Jones started his very own record label "Alpha Dogg Records" with his first artist being the Sanctuary Choir. On June 25th 2006, in front of a standing room only audiance the Sanctuary Choir recorded its first album entitled "Welcome to the city". The choir consist of over 150 members with many being in the music industry professionally. The debut album was produced by Gerald Haddon of the gospel group "The Soulseekers". Gerald described the project as a "gumbo" with something for everyone. This choir has already performed with such artist as; Patti LaBelle, Kanya West, The Killers, Mariah Carrey and P Diddy. They have also performed on the Celebration of gospel, BET Awards and Tribute to Aretha Franklin just to name a few.
