Ten Seconds Over Tokyo

About Me

Ten Seconds Over Tokyo was born as a recording school project in the mid 80's. The core of Tom Beaton on guitar, Ted Beaton on bass and Vail McColman on drums toured Canada doing a mix of New Wave pop covers and some originals. In 1988 Bil Eldridge joined on vocals and the band turned in a new direction incorporating the sounds of U2, R.E.M., the Cure and INXS. 1989 saw the release of the Canadian independant film "Roadkill" which featured two songs from the first EP. Also in 1989 Matt Walsh replaced Ted on bass and the band continued to evolve towards a harder edge. 1993 saw the release of their self titled CD on Monogram records.
December 2004 was the most recent reunion with a well attended show in Sarnia.
2009 Update! Well, the reunion did not happen this year, too late to work out all the details. The plan is to try for BayFest next year. Given the timeframe, we may even try to write some new material for the event. Stay tuned here for more news.
