to other bands who go by the name "The Returners": consider changing your name to "The New Returners," or something cause i'll(we'll) go to whatever unimaginable lengths necessary to keep the name that we feel we've merited more than any other group. you want the name? let's hear your stuff
the returners began with matt and reilly. after strictly writing and recording for about a year and a half, it became apparent to both of us we needed a full band to pursue the direction we wanted. our prayers were answered and ryan and erik were assimilated shortly after.
as of now, "the demo/EP," is about 6 songs equal to about a half hour of music. our first real record which will probably be forged by the sweat of our own hands (no outside funding), will include likely four or five of the songs from this demo (some of which are being re-recorded), and five or six new songs yet to be recorded. three of these are completely written and can be heard at our shows randomly as we feel fit.
so all in all, finishing our recording ahead of us in terms of our first 'official' release will likely be completed within six months from now. as for all the other crap involved in distribution, pressing, and non-musical related hurdles, its a little unpredictable. i, personally would be happy to see a professional record in shelves in vendors all around by one year. we'll see.
