Love sports...watching and playig (no matter how bad I am at it). A good movie and sometimes a bad one (400+ in my DVD collection so far, most good, some not so much), Poker, a good night out with some good friends to hang with.
Wayne Gretzky, Joe Sakic, Roger Clemens, Elisha Cuthburt, Eliza Dukshu, Kristen Kreuk, Bono and Brooke Burke 3
Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, U2, Audioslave, A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, Jack Johnson, Wheezer, Unwritten Law, Sum41, Spirit of the West, Neil Diamond, James Taylor, just about everything that has a good beat and can sustain an album without putting a shit song to fill. Check out Snap Robinson/Contenders Inc and Five Alarm Funk for some good listening from bands that aren't in the limelight!
Closer, Garden State, Gladiator, Snatch, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Team America, Anchorman, Love..Actually, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Princess Bride, Willow, American Beauty, Unusual Suspects, Kill Bill 1&2, The Pirate Movie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, A Live Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Royal Tennenbaums...too many more to list...Original Star Wars Trilogy was good...but lets get something straight...it wasn't as supremly good as everyone makes it out to be now that the new ones are being released. The new ones would have been so much better had Hayden Christiansen not been cast. Awful acting...whiny bitch. We loved the originals for the campy feeling they gave us...not because they were so cinematically great. Mark Hamill was a shit actor too, but we loved him for it.
Right Now I am watching more TV than I have in years. HDTV has taken me! I am watching shit I never thought I would. I watched Desperate Housewives tonight because it was in HD.My guilty pleasure is Smallville. I also watch Alias all the time. With the easons over, I have watched the first two shows of Veronica Mars...gotta say, I like. Grey's Anatomy looked good tonight also. Other than that, all Baseball, Hockey (if they ever come back), Boxing and Poker if the above are not available.
The Illiad, The Odeyssey, I used to read Dragonlance when I was younger. Robert Goddard and Robert Ludlum are two of my current more liked authors. Especially in the case of Goddard, I find his books more refreshing in the action/mystery style of books than the typical Grisham or Clancy novel. I also finished reading The DaVinci code and am working on the sort of prequel to it by Dan Brown called Angels and Demons. Not bad, good read.My all time favs are Dragonlance: Chronicals, Hearts in Atlantis, Kushiel's Dart, Into the Blue
I don't know if I have heroes anymore per say. Mine are more of the smaller variety. A couple who can stay in love forever, someone who can help without thought of reward, someone who can stand up for what they believe in. These are truly more heroic than someone who can run 100m in 9.78 or score 100 goals a season or shoot 30 points a game. Best part is, they are closer and more accessable than any traditional 'hero' ever is.
