About Me

Got a guitar after hearing one played while I was ill with dysentry in Espalion, France, and started playing the blues like everyone else in the Thames Delta. And Dylan. Was given a fiddle in Belfast by Simon Lloyd (Ice House) and dragged to a traditional Irish session by Andy Dickson. Found a banjo (5 string) under a bed, and learnt to play it properly after moving to Aberdeen. Got bored with the banjo, and moved sideways into strange tunings and setups on the guitar. Went through an oud phase but hardly wet my toes in what is a very deep pool. Still haven't really come to terms with the fiddle, so it continues to fascinate. After several years doing bedroom recordings with various bits and pieces have gratefully taken to Garageband.
