WORLD BATTERING is a Södertälje/sweden based deathmetal band with influences of thrash metal and rock 'n' roll.
It all started out in early 2007 by guitarist Johnny Jonsson and drummer John Aho, as a result of internal difficulties within the previous band.
New material was produced and rehearsed, but finding suitable additional members was hard. Anders Österberg joined as singer, but had to leave at a later occasion. In the summer of 2007, Mikael Johansson joined as bass player, and things started to move a bit. In the fall / winter 2007, Jonas Mähl joined as singer, and the band was complete. Further material was produced, and the first show was performed in the winter / spring of 2008 followed by many more during spring / summer. In the fall of 2008, the EP "The devastation of mankind" was recorded at Studio Necromorbus, Stockholm.
This is a band that gives you fast brutal deathmetal, on recordings, on stage, from start to stop!! If you cannot be at one of the shows: dont worry. There will be plenty more of them! This is what we do and will continue with for a long time!!
