Thank God I'm an Atheist

About Me

Pessimism of the intellect. Optimism of the will.

J'aime la solitude, à condition qu'un ami vienne m'en parler de temps en temps.

My Interests

movies, the 1920's, eyes, open empty spaces, observing interaction, beauty, South Korean filmmakers, excitement of the unknown.

I'd like to meet:

People who don't put limits on themselves. People who want to learn.

Music:

my favorite bands of all time, plus Beethoven and Chopin.

Movies:

The following directors are awesome, Fellini, Bunuel, Bergman, Otto Preminger, Wong Kar-Wai, Coen Brothers, David Gordon Green, Hal Ashby, Kubrick, John Cassavetes, Truffaut, Resnais, Takashi Miike, Terry Gilliam, David Cronenberg, David Lynch, Antonioni, Sergio Leone, George Cukor, Lukas Moodyson, Terrence Malick, Chan-wook Park, Ki-duk Kim. Anything by these guys rocks.

Television:

I cut that vein

Books:

Less Than Zero, Slaughterhouse 5, The Magus, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. There are others, but I keep this section short.

Heroes:

Who am I kidding, my ultimate hero is Chris Doyle. He's fucking awesome, and he's a great guy, too. You read interviews with him and you're like "yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about." He's also really cool to drink with, cause maybe he'll end up mooning everyone in the hotel lobby at 4am. Yeah, Chris Doyle rocks.

As I said before. . . repetition. We come back to the same feelings, the same ideas, the same knowledge. If you used to read this shit (the stuff I deleted), then you know exactly what I mean.Yet, i...

Remember me as a time of day

It is peaceful. Empty. Silent. I stand there staring, just like last year, and the year before. My life revolves. It keeps going in circles. Now that I think back on it, I'm really glad I deleted ...

Out in the country, far from all the soot and noise of the city

Perhaps I seek certain utopian things, space for human honour and respect, landscapes not yet offended, planets that do not exist yet, dreamed landscapes. Very few people seek these images today. I h...
