I'm Erik Petersson, mostly known as Errka, and I'm a Hammondist from Rejmyre (Northern Östergötland) Sweden. I've been trying to master this fantastic instrument seriously for about a year and a half now. Earlier I was a piano player, and even before that I played some bass, guitar, violin and trumpet. I also play some church organ to get some extra cash. I have a couple of bands:
First of all, Caveman Blues , check it out! One of the best and most needed things in the universe is to play rock music, and these guys really know how to do it. It's a pleasure for me to be their organizer!
Then I have my beloved thing Call Omar , which is kind of a more bluesy, atmospheric groove. These are not only some of the most talented people i know, they're also some of my best friends.
I've also recently been on a tour with this band, Rhythm & Bastards . Some great, "all Skurup" soul stuff here, you'll like it, I swear.
I actually still play some piano as well, and as every pianist with self respect I have my own trio. I'll be pulling up some music with that one here soon as possible!
Last but not least, I have this mind blowing project with my soul mate Felix . It's called Cysx , and is an electronica duo with vibraphone and keyboards on computer backgrounds.
The "organ" stuff that can be heard here is from early 2008, and you can hear Jens Persson and Sebastian Albrektsson on the sax, the sweet Linnéa Henriksson on vocals, Rasmus Wadström on the trumpet, David Fraenckel on trombone, Albert af Ekenstam on guitars, and Felix Martinz on drums. Hope you'll enjoy it! We did.
I play on a Nord C1 combo organ, a Leslie 122 from 1969 (which I've rebuilt a little) powered by a Music Man HD130 amp. I also own a Nord Electro 2 '73, a Fender Rhodes mk1a, and a Roland Juno-60.
