About Me
MAS P & Seanie T - 7 DAYZ OF HERB
Like many other Homegrown Hip Hop artists (Est'elle, Ty, Karl Hinds etc.. ) Seanie T deserves to be up there with the likes of So Solid Crew and Dizzee Rascal at the forefront of this mainstream 'Urban' explosion that's been occurring on these shores the past eighteen months or so. If anyone can tell me why Seanie's latest banger "7 Dayz of Herb" couldn't catch the imagination of the listening public at large then please feel free to reach out and enlighten me. The energetic, rock influenced track finds Seanie taking his reggae-rap talents around the world in eighty jays and lifting some hazy weed-induced inspiration from Craig David's own "Seven Days" along the way ("bought an ounce on Monday, Bun a little piece by Tuesday ... ). It's a hit!

MAS P
The MAS P project began in London at the turn of the century, where Mickey Morphingaz was resident DJ on the premier U.K hip hop internet radio shows, Homegrown-live on Gaialive.com. These shows featured live freestyles and interviews with rappers and DJs on the UK hip hop scene, such as Roots Manuva, Ty, Seanie T, Estelle, Skeme, and many more. After 2 years on the station, Mickey brought together some of his favourite MCs for a series of studio freestyle sessions to create a concept album featuring the strongest UK (and a few US) mcs.
Mickey returned to his Sydney home to begin work on this concept. The next step was to find someone with the suitable production skills to morph Mickey's turntable tricks and musical ideas into a bed for these freestyle sessions. He hooked up with accomplished producer, engineer and composer, J. Schoix, an old friend and musical collaborator, to discuss this challenging project. After only a couple of meetings at Josh's studio, Mickey had found the perfect partner to realize the full potential of the album.
Selecting the choice lyrics from over 4 hours of freestyle material, Morphingaz and Schoix began constructing the foundations of their sound to compliment these rappers' flow. MAS P emerged from the studio with a full length LP.
Tracks have since been added to MTV Europe's newest urban sport show "Barrio 19." Their debut single, 7 Dayz of Herb was released as a 12" vinyl and quickly added to Warner Australia's first hip hop compilation, "Straight from The Art vol.1".
Since returning to the UK, Morphingaz has successfully toured alongside high profile artists such as Mr. James Brown, Public Enemy, and Gangstarr as the on-stage DJ/turntablist for Long Beach rapper, Aphletik. MAS P's music is featured in the live shows.
MAS P continue to discover new musical and vocal talent in Australia, in Europe and internationally with the aim to release high quality productions every time.
