My name is Ian Kinchy and I am a single father and Cleveland firefighter. Many years back I learned of the struggles of the children and families of Bosnia, a country known primarily in the US for what seems like the constant stream of war torn activity in their country. I believed then, as I do now, that one person can make a difference. I got other people involved and worked to improve the quality of life for the children of this country that have lost so much through no fault of their own. I have done and seen a lot with these children and will tell more about it as this site matures, but for now, please look at my photos and keep up with my blog as I get it underway.Awaken, the comic book series to benefit these children, is complete and I am working on the final pieces with publishing now. I am excited that we will be able to finally bring this out and that so many great artists have contributed to helping children they never met that are a half a world away. Remember war can happen anywhere, we have to take care of each other!This comic book series is being produced as a means of raising money to pay for rebuilt houses, clothing, food, toys, and education for the children of war-torn Bosnia. The publisher and creator, Ian Kinchy, does not make a single penny in profit for this project.
