Southern CT Pagan Pride Day ~ Celebrate Diversity

I am here for Networking

About Me

Hail and Welcome to our MySpace page.

This is an annual, multi-cultural, family-friendly event promoting religious tolerance, cultural diversity, respect for the earth, health, and community service. We feel that charity and community service can bring people together by providing a common goal and an area of agreement upon which to focus, instead of dwelling on differences.

This event will feature free admission, free workshops, vendors, presenters, food, door prizes, a children’s workshop area, drumming, and much more. Live music will be provided by the Tony Ferrigno Band.

Profits from this event will benefit several charities. One of the beneficiaries will be ACT, which stands for Area Congregations Together. ACT is a group of people from diverse religious backgrounds who have come together to provide food, shelter and services to people in need in the lower Naugatuck area.

They deliver their services without proselytizing and we are impressed with their work. ACT operates the Spooner House shelter for the homeless and the Valley Food Bank Network. Spooner House is the only facility for the homeless in the Lower Naugatuck valley and one of the few in the state that welcomes families with children.

Other charities include the CT Food Bank and One Spirit, which is a Native American charity and volunteer service organization that focuses most of its efforts on the Lakota people living on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Lakota people have the lowest life expectancy of any group in the western hemisphere outside of Haiti. The infant mortality rate is four times the national average. One Spirit is a volunteer organization. No one involved receives a salary and so all of the money donated goes to the Lakota people.

Vending at this event will be $50 for a 10 X 10 space, providing that the vending application is received by August 10th and that an item is donated for use as a door prize.

Last year, our event attracted over 500 attendees. The majority of our vendors did quite well and will be joining us again this year. We’d love to see some new faces, so if you would like to receive a vending application by snail mail or email, please email Lori-Ann at [email protected]

If you would like to provide a 50-minute workshop, please email Mandy at [email protected] Topics of interest include spirituality, health, healing, art, culture, conservation, divination, etc. Workshop presenters are not paid but may promote their work and projects at the event. They will be listed in our event program, on our website, etc

We hope that you will choose to add your personal touch to this event as a vendor, presenter or volunteer. Please pass this along to anyone who may be interested. Thank you very much.
