The Electric Jets from Heerhugowaard, are four guys with an average age of 16 years, who are born for Rock 'n' Roll. They started out just two years ago, and in this short amount of time these guys have accomplished to build up an great on-stage reputation. In the regional scene they are known by the name of Shock 'n' Roll, and their live appearance is as energetic as that name does expect.
The sound that The Electric Jets produces is Garagerock’n’roll, brought with passion from the heart. The roots of this band go back to the good old years when bands like Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and The Who ruled the planet. Also bands like AC/DC, The Datsuns, Susans Garden, The Mooney Suzuki, The Von Bondies, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Herman Brood & His Wild Romance and many more are a huge inspiration source for The Electric Jets.
By the end of November of 2007 the first demo (recorded by Maarten Tamminga) of The Electric Jets has ended up. With that demo they’ve drawn the attention of several media like VPRO’s Villa Live, and 3VOOR12 who has published very positive reviews of songs like ‘Whatever Happened to my Rock ‘n’ Roll’, and ‘Little John’ and TEJ’s live shows. Now they've recorded their debut-EP "Electric, Baby!" at Legacy Studio, Zwaagdijk. It was released on the 12th of June, just like the musicvideo that goes with it. The release party was a great succes. Now let's hope that this will hang on for a long period!
