Get a scroller sign at yourpimpspace.com!The beginning of Strikers FC is not a great story of bravery, nor one of a noble victory against odds. In its simplest form it is about passion, respect and above all integrity. We do not measure our performance by how good we play or by how many goals we win by, unlike so many other clubs we pride our self in having fun and always a few laughs. The traits of passion and friendship started the club and they are deeply embedded into Strikers United history and are still evident in today’s game._______________________________________________________ _________________The initial seven club members consisted of Devyn (C), Ashley, Damir, Anthony F, Antone, Alan and Erch In its maiden season Strikers United FC (formally Strikers FC) was very successful and only lost a hand full of game’s throughout the season. In fact they were so successful that they went on to win the championship 7-0 in a very one sided game. The end of the season saw many mixed reactions. The team did not celebrate the win togther instead it was divided, the initial signs that something was not right.______________________________________________________ __________________With the public knowledge of a rift that could potentially see the end of the newly incepted club, Erch strived to keep the winning team together in order to continue past performances, his actions where of no reward as the rift had cut far to great, and all ill feelings could no longer be mended. With potentially no indoor team Erch had to take drastic actions and after an unanimous vote Erch was voted in as captain and manager. With the sudden departure of Ash and Dev, all remaining players where secured but he was still missing the vital components of a successful team. An A-Grade keeper and a Utility that can play anywhere. His determination saw him secure the talents of Khaled and Spaz. Spaz fresh out of contract and khaled a free agent they jumped on the opportunity to play._______________________________________________________ _________________Budooras facilities where not the greatest and with the extra run in the team it was decided to move comps. It was decided that Epping would be the home of Strikers United FC for season 2007. The quality of game and intensity increased three fold and Strikers United FC faced some quality opposition in their grading games. But the underlying Ethos of the team never changed, even in its darkest hour the team rallied behind their new coach and captain to produce some electrifying soccer. The ability and passion that saw them take out the championship of Bundoora shone through and this saw them make Division 1, something that they had trained hard to achieve. Putting to bed the demons of the past._______________________________________________________ _________________It can be argued that certain players took things to serious and hence the leaving of Dev and Ash. Blame can not be given and they remain close friends with current members of the board. Strikers FC upholds the very same qualities that it had in the beginning and they remain a sturdy force. All current players play with vigor, intensity and passion for the club, the club that plays in Orange and Blue. The tightness of the team is an indication that they will remain friends for all of time and past glories will never be forgotten but will be used to build upon……. ____________________________________________________________ ____________“Victory always starts in the head. It's a state of mind. It then spreads with such radiance and such affirmations that destiny can do nothing but obey.” - Douchan Gersi_______________________________________________________ _________________The current team stands as - MyWackoSpace MySpace Slideshow MySpace Generators MySpace Comments MySpace Codes
