I'm just a simple gal...born in Ky., spent my childhood
growing up in S.E. Mighigan with my grandma...in a little town called La Salle. I have so many wonderful memories of times back then. I Miss you grandma!!! She was the one person I most admired and she always let me know that I was loved. Grandma sadly passed away 11/10/2003. She was a beautiful strong woman who had 14 children in her her life~~~one of them being my dad!!
I miss her desperately!!
I also have systemic lupus and was diagnosed at age 15. It's been a tough, rough battle~~~~and I'm still fighting...tho I've won quite a few of them so far!!! Yea!! Although I will say~~~~living with lupus SUCKS~~~~you tend to have more bad days than good and when ya have a "good day" you wish it could last forever.
Maybe someone you know has lupus. If so, raise the awareness! There still is no cure for this disease which devestates so many lives and affects no two persons the same.
I will say I've met many awesome ladies here that suffer from lupus and related auto-immune diseases. Thanks~~~all of you for touching my life in one way or another!!
