JUL Theory Was Born in 1986 in the little village of Santa Coloma de Queralt (Spain).His first contact with music was in 1992, when he started playing with large headphones Maquina total mixes and his older sister's music on his parent's HIFI player in the living room. Then he started to play with the graphic equalizer of the machine.In 1999 JUL started playing music with a "domestic" CD player and a big amplifier on his father's warehouse, trying to mix songs with the mixer of the amplifier.In 2001 a dear friend of JUL's have had to leave the village and he wanted to have a big goodbye party, but he wasn't a Dj and he didn't have "machines" to make a good party. In that very moment, is when JUL decided that he needs to started saving money to buy his first mixer and decks. He decided to be a real Dj.At the age of fifteen he had his first contact with his mixer, playing at his prom party as Dj Ponty.In 2002 He started discovering the clubbing culture in Florida 135, Wonder, Bigben and Waikiki. He started mixing House and dance music in the parties arround his village.
In 2003 JUL took the name of Dj Heel mixing technohouse.
In 2004 JUL started helping produce diferent parties like PPV2 and The fact of clowns as a light operator. There is where he met his friend, Dj Vid, also known as NEGAT at the moment.In 2005 JUL entered in a Dj academy called Plastic Bcn after looking for a dj set of Richie hawtin on florida 135. He continued producing parties like PPV3 and mixing for the first time in barcelona at KGB club. After that he bought his Pioneer CDJ 800 cd player and DJM 600 mixer.In 2006 JUL in the wake of the trip to Amsterdam and the Panama club, he started mixing minimal techno in his studio. In one of NEGAT and JUL's meetings, he renamed the dj as JUL Theory. Soon, he bought his Technics 1210 and start mixing with vinyl and CD.During 2007 he visited London looking for new sounds and partying at the coolest clubs.At present JUL is starting producing minimal on his studio, working hard to start making Live on 2009. By the way, he's producing but he's still mixing with vinyl."
